Not many turned up for this final session, lots of snow and pre-Christmas stress keeping them away I guess. I was not able to concentrate very well during the evening so I played with my watercolours. Playing is a very important way to learn and improve, isn’t it!? 😉

I am really pushing myself at the moment, I am trying to improve my sketching skills by practising – a lot. Yesterday I used my hero pen and watercolours for life drawing. It was fun trying to complete an ink and wash of the male figure in two minutes flat. I found this watercolour sketch today, under a pile of old invoices and receipts. I painted it on A4 office paper, hence the wrinkles …
