I finished these two sketches last week, only posting them now. I am painting larger versions for an upcoming exhibition in April. It’s good to do sketch first, one learns a lot by taking ones time and experimenting, unexpected happy accidents or silly mistakes that shouldn’t be repeated.

Strong contrast, wonderful palette, great composition, but… for me, and just for me, the use of opaque white in the splattering…Yes I know I´m too purist. Good work, and cogratulations.
I agree, the larger versions that I am working on will have as little gouache as possible. I have created the splatter effect with masking fluid instead.
