I was about to trash a large painting when I thought to myself, maybe I can cut it up into smaller pictures. So I cut out two, one I liked and one I didn’t.
Part of a failed painting. 19 x 29 cm Arches rough.
A really good crop, I don´t know how it was before, I´m sure not so bad, but now it is really nice, the intensity in the head and in the color of the water contrasts with the whites in the body. A good job.
It will look good in a frame I hope. It's a pity the larger painting didn't work out. I've started painting on full-imperial and my success rate isn't as high as I'd like it to be. I'm sure I'll improve though if I stay stubborn and push on.
